Noel is Professor of Cardiovascular Sciences in the Department of Medicine and Director of the Centre for Research in Vascular Biology at University College Cork. He is also a Consultant Cardiologist at Cork University Hospital. Noel has been leading the discovery of the role of smooth muscle progenitor cells and uses thereof, the impact of low dose IGF-1 therapy, and the synbiotic treatment for cardiometabolic syndrome.
